I am honored to represent you in the Nebraska Unicameral. I serve on the Appropriations Committee and on several special committees, including the Children’s Commission, the Tax Modernization Committee, and the Department of Correctional Services Special Investigative Committee. I also Chair the Aging Nebraskans Task Force.
I am employed as the Executive Director of the Nebraska Association of Service Providers, an association of community based disability service providers across the state and as an Adjunct Professor at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
Service to my community is important to me and I am involved in many civic activities. I am a Meals on Wheels Volunteer at Tabitha, a member of the Lincoln Young Professionals group, and an active member of both my hometown church, the Palmyra Presbyterian Church, and of First Plymouth Church in Lincoln.
I’m proud to be a 6th generation Nebraskan. I grew up on a family farm just outside of Lincoln. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University, and my Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan. I was elected to represent the 29th District in the Nebraska Legislature in 2012.
I am an avid runner, golfer, and reader and enjoy spending time with my nieces, Alyssa and Grace.
